Dear Colleague,

Hope that this email finds you well.

I would like to inform you that the Singapore Economic Review (SER) will be organising its fifth SER Conference in August 2013.

The SER Conference is a continuing series we have been holding every two years since the fiftieth anniversary of the journal's founding in 1956. It is gaining a reputation for providing interesting and useful opportunities for academics, private and public practicing economists, policy makers and graduate students to discuss various economic issues as well as options for good economic policies. We expect SERC 2013 to continue to be Singapore's largest gathering of eminent economists and policy makers from the region, attracting over 300 global participants from 40 countries.

Edward Prescott (2004 Nobel Laureate in Economics) was the keynote speaker at the inaugural SER Conference in 2005 and Joseph Stiglitz (2004 Nobel Laureate in Economics) was the keynote speaker at the Conference in 2007. The 2009 Conference saw plenary sessions with panelists like Pranab Bardhan (UC Berkeley), Ronald Mckinnon (Stanford University), and Warwick McKibbin (Australian National University). For the SERC 2011, Edward Lazear, 24th Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, United States was the keynote speaker. For SERC 2013, we have confirmed the participation of more than 12 major journal editors including Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Theory, Economics Letters, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Journal of Behavioral Economics and Organisation, World Economy, Journal of Neuro, Psychology and Economics; Journal of Public Economics, Asian Economic Journal, Journal of Asian Economics, Social Choice and Welfare, Mathematical Social Sciences, among others.

We hope to have your participation at the SER Conference 2013. Please find attached the call for paper and I would appreciate if you could forward it to your colleagues who may be interested to participate/attend. The submission deadline has been extended to 25 April 2013. Thanks!

Best
